For one school project, I invented a study abroad program and created a brochure. I love travel so it was very easy for me to write about. I created the logo in Adobe Illustrator, resized or cut the images in Photoshop, and put it all together in InDesign. I loved being able to use all those tools together along with my passion for London.

I created the logo in Adobe Illustrator first. I initially wanted the initials of the “International Education Association” all blocked together so they created a shape, but ended up scrapping that idea because it looked horrible. Instead I used an Oldstyle font, Aramis and wrote the initials. I then created a light blue circle to represent the earth and an airplane flying off the A.
I found the photos using Google since I have not been to London; I use my own photos for my work otherwise. I have only intended to use them for this school project and to show my skills as a designer here. Links to the original images are below. In Adobe Photoshop, I resized the photos for the brochure format and cut around the image of the underground sign.
I then put everything together in Adobe InDesign. I used a grid to have a layout and see where folds would be. After I separated the photos and body copy sections, I was able to put in the images, the logo, and write the body copy. I used text wrap to move the text around the Underground sign.
